I like to look as though I had plenty of time to get ready. That doesn’t necessarily mean I did.
Polished work look
One version of getting dressed works for me: something simple, a little jewelry, and enough attention to my hair that everything feels considered. I don’t need a complicated outfit. But I do appreciate the difference good hair makes when I’m about to walk into a meeting.
Recently, I used the TYMO CURLPRO PLUS 1-inch automatic curling iron before a client meeting, and I curled my hair perfectly in less than ten minutes. Perfectly for me, meaning it looked exactly the way I wanted it to look, within the amount of time I actually had.
That is a fairly persuasive introduction to a beauty tool.
Right after use
The Hair Can Be Elaborate. Getting Ready Should Be Simple.
I enjoy beauty. I enjoy the products, the presentation, and the small adjustments that make you feel a little more like the version of yourself you had in mind that morning. What I’m less interested in is making an elaborate production out of every step.
Especially before a client meeting. I already have things to think about, and the angle at which I’m holding a curling iron shouldn’t require so much attention.
The CURLPRO PLUS has an automatic rotating mechanism, a one-inch barrel, and an extended barrel designed for medium and long hair (my hair is long and coarse). It also offers three temperature settings and a timer with an audible alert. Those are useful details, but the part that mattered to me was much simpler: I could get the result I wanted and move on with my morning. I wasn’t setting aside an afternoon to experiment with my hair. I was getting ready to work.
Looking Ready Changes How I Feel
After nearly two decades working in PR, branding, and editorial, I’m very aware of presentation. Of course, the substance matters. I still want to like what I see in the mirror before I leave.
There’s a difference between knowing you’re prepared and feeling completely ready. For me, getting dressed and doing my hair helps close that gap. It’s a small transition from everything happening at home to the conversation I’m about to have.
My approach to clothes is usually straightforward, which gives my hair a little room to do more. A simple neckline looks different with curls around it. So do earrings. I can keep the rest familiar and still feel as though I’ve made an effort.
And I like making an effort. I appreciate when it takes less than ten minutes.
What Earns a Place in My Routine
I don’t need every beauty product or tool I try to become a permanent fixture. There has to be a reason to reach for it again, beyond attractive packaging or the initial interest of trying something new.
With this one, I have a very specific reason: I used it before an actual client meeting and got my hair exactly how I wanted it within a short window of time.
I can speak to that experience. I’m not going to turn one successful morning into a promise about how quickly everyone can style their hair, or how long everyone’s curls will last. Hair length, texture, and the result you want all matter.
But that morning, it worked beautifully and lasted all day.
The TYMO CURLPRO PLUS earned my attention because it made getting ready easier while still giving me a result I was happy to leave the house with.
I had the curls I wanted. I was ready for my meeting. And my hair hadn’t become a separate appointment.
