Who I am
HEY THERE!
I’m Kristin—a PR and branding strategist, digital marketing expert, and the founder of Marquet Media, FemFounder, and BrandYourBusiness.co. But before all this, my path was anything but certain. During the 2008 financial crisis, I lost my stable corporate consulting role. At that crossroads, I chose to bet on myself, launching my first business without a safety net while balancing a master’s program in PR and corporate communications at NYU.
What started with sleepless nights turned into a career built on strategy, resilience, and a little (okay, maybe a lot) of grit. Fast forward to today, and I’ve been featured in 9,300 media pieces in just the last year alone, graced the covers of Forbes, Marie Claire, and Vanity Fair Germany, and built an engaged following of over 1.4 million across social media. I’ve even pursued an academic deep dive into AI and analytics from MIT, constantly fueling my obsession with data-driven branding and impactful PR strategies.
Right Now...
I’m probably developing a PR strategy for an emerging brand, analyzing data for insights that lead to real growth, or finding a moment to relax in the NYC suburbs with my husband and our amazing infant son. Family is everything, and after years of hard work, I’m living in my dream home with an incredible support system. My husband? He’s truly my rock—and no matter how busy life gets, I’m always grateful for his support.

Early Career
Before I built a PR agency and helped brands craft their public image, I was in front of the camera. I spent years modeling in New York and Paris, walking runways, shooting for editorials, and working with designers who understood that fashion wasn’t just about clothing but the story, presence, and identity behind the brand. Modeling gave me a deep, firsthand understanding of the power of perception—how a brand is positioned, how visuals and messaging create desire, and how attention can be earned, controlled, and leveraged.
I worked with luxury fashion houses, independent designers, and industry powerhouses who knew how to build an empire from an aesthetic, a feeling, and a carefully constructed image. I saw how a correct editorial spread in Vogue or the perfect campaign placement could transform a brand overnight. I also learned that PR was the force behind so much of what made fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands household names.
But I also realized that I wanted to be on the other side of the industry—not just representing a brand, but building them. My experience in modeling taught me how to command presence, tell a story without words, and understand the psychology of visibility. Those lessons have carried into my career in PR, where I now help founders, entrepreneurs, and luxury brands do the same—not just get noticed but create lasting influence.
